Paterson, K.  (1977).  Bridge to Terabithia.  New York, NY:  Harper Trophy.

Response:  Death of a friend is hard to grasp for young people.  Going through the stages of grief was evident in the book and I wonder if this Newberry Medal winner book helped readers get through tough situations in their lives too.
